On January 9, 2026, a special lecture of the Tsientang Lectures was successfully held at the Longwu Campus. As a key component of the TISA 2nd Annual Academic Conference, the lecture featured two internationally distinguished scholars engaged in an in-depth dialogue on cutting-edge life sciences and medicine.
Professor Drew Weissman, recipient of the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, delivered a lecture titled Nucleoside Modified mRNA-LNP Therapeutics. He systematically presented his team's recent advances in nucleoside-modified mRNA and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) platforms and discussed their clinical potential in vaccines, protein therapeutics, and novel RNA-based treatments.

This was followed by a lecture from Professor Ali Naji titled Successful Desensitization and Kidney Transplantation in Highly Sensitized Individuals Utilizing CAR-T Treatment. Professor Naji shared his team's latest clinical research on applying chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy to transplant desensitization, highlighting recent progress in kidney transplantation for highly sensitized patients.

The lectures drew strong engagement from the Institute community. The auditorium was filled to capacity, with additional attendees gathering in the aisles and at the back of the hall. Faculty members and graduate students participated actively in discussion, engaging the speakers in in-depth academic exchange.

It provided a platform for engaging with cutting-edge research and interdisciplinary perspectives, enriching the Institute’s academic environment and fostering dialogue across fields.
